The Area
Finca Armonia is
situated near Alhaurin el Grande in Andalucia, Spain. The beautiful
scenery and national parks surrounding Alhaurin are perfect
for relaxing holidays, as is the warm, sunny climate of Southern
Spain. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in Alhaurin
but they are out of walking range so car hire is essential.
• Cars are
available to hire at Malaga Airport (we give full directions
on how to find us and will even meet you at the airport if necessary,
especially after dark) and can be arranged in advance from the
UK. The
unspoilt countryside behind the Costa del Sol has spectacular
mountain scenery and is a taste of real Spain. We are just 35
minutes drive west of Malaga Airport and the coastal resorts
of Fuengirola and Marbella.
•
Malaga, with its cathedral, port and interesting city centre
is 45 minutes drive.
• Granada, with the Alhambra palace, is about 2 hours
drive and well worth a visit.
• The ancient town of Ronda with its amazing bridge over
the gorge is an hours drive.
• The incredible rock formations at El Torcal near Antequerra
– 1 hour.
• The lakes at El Chorro – ¾ of an hour.

Closer to home golfers are well catered for in the Alhaurin
area with 2 golf courses – Sevvy Balesteros designed Alhaurin
Golf and Lauro Golf – within 10 minutes drive.
• For those wishing to go horse riding there is a trekking
centre within 10 minutes drive.
• The area is also good for walking and cycling though
we would advise against walking in the middle of the day in
July and August unless you are masochists!
• In the spring February to May – the wild flowers
in the mountains are spectacular and birdwatchers will find
plenty to see as well.
